Cast nets (also referred to as throw nets) are use for collection of fish, prawns or squid
to be used for consumption.......by larger fish or humans!

TOP END IMPORTS offers a wide range of
cast net. It is a common misconception that all cast nets
are the same quality. This is simply not true.
The nets supplied by TOP END IMPORTS are true to size and quoted thickness of the material is correct. A quality cast net will open to twice the drop of the net.

CAST NET DESCRIPTION
POCKET TYPE The pocket cast net is used for collecting species such as the various species of mullet, herring and other bait fish, even prawns. Usually used from shore where the net can hit the bottom and the captive congregates in the pockets.	DRAW STRING TYPE Draw string cast nets are used primarily used in deeper water on species such as herring, slimey mackerel and the like. Usually used from a boat or wharf in water deeper than 3 meters. These nets automatically close when the net reaches the extremity of the rope. Can also be used for collecting prawns and squid.
